Cleaner Solar was commissioned to design and install 120 kWp solar PV system on the rooftop of ETB's Tyre distribution centre in Worcester.

The Solution

ETB Limited are a leading independent regional tyre distributer. They have 6 distribution centres across the UK. Working to provide the best quality tyres at the right price to their customers since early 1980’s.

Upon deciding to increase their energy efficiency ETB looked at its substantial warehouse roof space at the Worcester distribution centre and became keen to maximise the potential of it as a space for commercial Solar PV.

Following further consultation ETB decided that the best return for them as a business would be the 120kWp system designed by Cleaner Solar. Considering ETB’s energy requirements our lead solar consultant selected 415w Canadian Solar modules paired with a Solax 100kW inverter. In total 290 panels were installed on the flat roof using Sun Fixings rail format, this was selected due to it’s suitability for the roof arrangement and light weight placing a minimal amount of stress on the roof.

Over the last few months, ETB has seen a marked reduction in their energy bills and a predicted return of investment within 2.5 years. ETB are very pleased to be part of the green revolution.
