Cleaner EV Ltd were successfully awarded the contract via Wenea (Gamma Energy) to install and maintain an electric vehicle charging destination hub at Luss Estates, Millitary Road, Luss Village, Alexandria, Scotland.

Luss Estates is a diversified rural estate at the start of the Scottish Highlands on the banks of Loch Lomond. And within the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. This Scottish Estate consists of over 50,000 acres and encompasses the pretty village of Luss.

They have experienced a higher number of visitors requiring electric vehicle charging facilities, post installation. Working with Cleaner EV to design and implement a long term solution that will continue to satisfy this need.

The Solution

Cleaner EV have successfully designed an EV charging destination hub for Luss Estates and it’s nearby village.

Cleaner EV have been contracted to install, operate and maintain the solution that is now easy for the residents and visitors to use, and as equally easy for the estate to manage.

The EVC-AC22S-DC60D is a three phase, commercial DC charging unit, featuring two CCS connections, and a 22kW AC Type 2 connection.

With it’s high power, it’s an ideal commercial charging unit that is also compatible with a bespoke app, allowing for easy fleet and cost management – as well as being able to manage load balancing for larger scale charging across multiple vehicles.

New Electrical Connection

Working collaboratively with SSEN we carried out extensive contestable works, excavating a 100 meter trench in readiness for the cable lay and LV connection.
